EF Go Ahead Gift Guide 2017

In the spirit of the holiday season, we created a Go Ahead Gift Guide around some specific destinations. After crowd-sourcing some gift ideas from Paris, The Amalfi Coast, Peru, and Japan, we photographed the gifts and built a campaign on our blog and social channels.

Navigator Redesign

Copywriter Jamie Burke and I were tasked with redesigning the “Globetrotter” a quarterly newsletter we sent to a specific set of travelers to inform and excite them about upcoming tours and initiatives around the business.

After several rounds of brainstorming, we moved towards a dreamier, more visual newsletter to keep readers more involved and increase read and click rates. Additionally, we created a mobile version of the email to accommodate the growing number of travelers opening our emails across different device types.

Responsive Email Marketing Design System

I worked closely with our email developer at Go Ahead to build a responsive design system for our emails. When I started the project, designers would have to build two versions of every campaign: one to be shown on large devices (ie. desktop computers and large tablets), and one to be shown on smaller devices (ie. mobile devices and small tablets).

I created a modular system that would scale proportionately depending on what device a viewer was looking at the content on, which allowed us to design just one version of each email from then on. This saved our team a significant amount of time on these campaigns.

In the previous system, we would build two versions of every email. This is the “desktop” version of our microsite version announcement

In our updated system, we designed one version of each email that would scale proportionately to fit a users device
